BACK TO SIRHA 2025 IN LYON

SIRHA 2025 has come to an end, once again marking a high point for gastronomy and the culinary professions. For CLUIZEL, the event was an opportunity to reaffirm its commitment to eco-responsibility and to present its new product: Grand Cru Akomnyada, a 66% dark chocolate.

GRAND CRU AKOMNYADA, A CHOCOLATE OF EXCEPTION

Grand Cru Akomnyada by CLUIZEL is an exceptional chocolate from the fertile lands of Akomnyada, south of Yaoundé in Cameroon. Grown in the shade of century-old trees and nourished by the biodiversity of this region, this cocoa develops a remarkable aromatic richness. Certified Chocolatiers Engagés, a label founded in 2020 by the Confédération des Chocolatiers Confiseurs de France, it embodies an ethical and responsible approach based on four pillars:
• A short circuit guaranteeing traceability,
• Respect for producers with decent working conditions,
• Protection of the environment through sustainable farming practices.
• The assurance of exceptional cocoa thanks to optimised post-harvest processes.

AN ASSERTIVE ECO-RESPONSIBLE APPROACH

The Manufacture is actively committed to eco-responsibility through a number of concrete actions. Currently, 90% of packaging is recyclable, and the aim is to reach 100% by 2026. All cocoa bean waste is recycled, and all waste is sorted. All lighting is LED, and a biological wastewater treatment plant has been in operation since 2012. As for energy, 50% of the energy mix comes from green sources, with a target of 90% by 2026, and fuel oil will be completely phased out by 2027. The car fleet is also being transformed, with half of it already equipped with micro-hybrid vehicles. The company favours sustainable cocoa, with no child labour, and pays the farmers above the market price. Finally, all the colourings are of natural origin, and the products are guaranteed to be free from GMOs and soya lecithin.
